Dr. Smitha Bhat is a Professor of Medicine and Convener of the Medical Education Unit at Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore. As a professor of medicine, Dr. Smitha is actively involved in lecture classes and bedside teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Dr. Smitha Bhat completed her MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and her MD Internal Medicine from Madras Medical College, Chennai. She took her MRCP (UK) in 2009. She completed with distinction her FAIMER fellowship in the year 2012. She completed her Diploma in Palliative Care from Cardiff University in 2010 and her Fellowship in Diabetes Management from Christian Medical College Vellore in 2015. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in July 2016
